Initially, both babies struggled with weight loss, but our baby girl gained 20 grams on May 9th. However, her twin brother is still grappling with weight loss, adding to our worries. Due to low hemoglobin levels, both babies had to undergo blood transfusions, and our boy’s breathing issues have escalated, necessitating the insertion of a small tube into his trachea to assist with his breathing. It’s a distressing sight to witness his struggle for every breath. While our baby girl is currently faring better in terms of breathing, she remains under close observation to ensure her condition doesn’t deteriorate. She is receiving minimal feeds of 1 mL every 6 hours of mother’s milk, but our baby boy faces difficulties as bile refluxes into his mouth from his stomach, making feeding impossible. He’s reliant on fluids administered via injections and saline drips. Additionally, premature babies often face heart complications, and unfortunately, our babies have been diagnosed with larger-than-normal holes in their hearts.

The financial burden of their treatment is immense. With the total cost estimated at between 50 and 60 lakhs and already having exhausted 7-8 lakhs, my family is in a desperate situation. Despite our best efforts, we’re falling short by Rs. 47,99,998, and time is not on our side. With no other option left, crowdfunding was our last resort.
